Doesn't this beach look like Cosa Del Sol from ff7 Rebirth or is is just me??? Anyways this is Ho'okipa Beach Park. Its a nice Beach located Up Country Maui and my first stop of this save.
Cool lock I found thought it was a unique spot since people normally put these on bridges. Also seems pretty old looking at the rust.
Never seen this sign used in other parking lots before espicially with this font
Rocks?
NOPE!! TURTLES!!
Turtle watching was the main reason we came here today and it did not dissapoint. There were plenty of turtles just chilling out on the beach reminds me of the turtle from Nemo.
After we drove to Makawao which is a very old style town that is fun to explore for an hour or two.
On the drive there we passed by a old sugar cane factory that my grandpa used to work at.
Looks fully abandoned now straight form a zombie movie.
While most of the store's here aren't really of my interest I love just the layout of the area it feels like a real rpg village with stores and areas hidden from first sight
Sorry if the sign is blurry but it basically say's that this area was used for housing and businesses back in the 1920's-40's which is why these buildings look like this.
My pictures really don't do this town justice I suggest going to 3679 Baldwin Ave on Google Earth and just explore surrounding area for a bit
I think my favorite part about this town is that the stores have PLENTY of seating outside which is a godsent when your waiting for other people to shop inside stores. I wish I got more pictures but most if not every store has at least 1 bench/chair outside as well as having pretty good shading easily 10/10 on comfortability.
There are plenty of food truck like places like this scattered around while I never tried there food before visually speaking its unique and something I didn't notice my first time coming here
I never went up those stairs before I belive it is some kind of coffe shop or seating area but I am curios so next time I will definitly try to explore up there.
Hi plant (:
Not 100% sure but I think this was were the bathroom was which seemed hidden and mysterious.
Easily my favorite store in this whole town has to be The Maui Cookie Lady. Personally I really love chewy cookies like chewy chips ahoy always beats the original which is why I love there cookies. They have plenty of rotating flavors but my favorite and the one I always get is Da Half Baked which is basically a cookie stuffed with every chocolate bar you could think of and probably have enough sugar to last for at least a couple days.
Another one of the stores here like going to is the general store which is well... just a general store but they do sell some unique items like these hats.
So you heard of Count Chocula but what about...
Before I end this save I just want to share this last photo because it honestly makes me a little sad. For context this is at Queen Kaʻahumanu Mall one of if not the biggest mall in Maui and this photo is taken where the old play place used to be. It recently got completely torn down but has been showing signs of this for a while now. I grew up playing in this place and seeing not only the play place fall apart but the whole mall slowly following the same fate makes me just think about everything else in my life and how eventually they will "clock out" to. Thats one of the biggest reasons why im making this website I know one day I will look back at this and all the saves I made and just be able to reminisce. Anyways.. Im ending this save now but Ill see you at the next!! (:
